Eat To Draw
Eat To Draw

My son Fenix, who is turning four in April 2019, is a constant instrument in my growth as a person, parent and artist. I started to let him paint and doodle at 13 month old and he has since gotten quite confident at it!

By jamming together, he actually reverses the roles and teaches me patience, compassion and to let go of control/judgement, trust the process, have fun and not criticise. Just the other day he wanted to paint and was creating splotches of his abstract art in gouache and acrylic paint. My first thoughts were “oh my so messy!” Then I stood back and reflected on his works while he had already moved on to his toys. One of them begged for a closer look and I saw the ‘Tin Man With A Heart” - he who thinks too much but cannot feel.I also added my interpretation to his other abstract art and it became a lobster.
